Edward Lee Offutt was born on May 3, 1906 at Bristol, VA, USAG, unfortunately birth date makes absolutely no sense since his brother Frank Harbeson Offutt was born in February 1906. I have come across 1 reference, a passenger list that lists his date of birth as May 3, 1907, and yet that doesn't match up with every other record. As of August 27, 2019 I have no answer to this mystery.1,3,4,2,5,6,7 He was listed in the 1910 census at Huntington, Cabell County, WV, USAG, in the household of Mathew Neely Offutt and Sarah Offutt on April 19, 1910.8 Edward Lee Offutt was listed in the 1920 census at Huntington, Cabell County, WV, USAG, in the household of Mathew Neely Offutt and Grace Offutt on January 9, 1920.9 Edward Lee Offutt was listed in the 1930 census at Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, CA, USAG, in the household of Grace Offutt on April 3, 1930.10 Edward Lee Offutt married Martha Louise Huber circa 1931.11,12 Edward Lee Offutt and Martha Louise Huber appeared in the Sixteenth Federal Census of April 4, 1940 at Riverside, Riverside County, CA, USAG.13 Edward Lee Offutt died on March 28, 1957 at San Diego, CA, USAG, at age 50.14
