Thursday afternoon, at 5 o'clock, the spirit of Mrs. Mary Fridge passed into the better land. She had been very ill for several months and her death was not unexpected. Around the bedside were her five sons, Bailey Fridge of Magnolia, Miss.; M. A. Fridge, of Shreveport; Edgar, Malcolm, Wilton, the soldier boy; Shelby, the youngest; the one daughter Miss Eula, and the devoted husband, Mr. W. O. Fridge. This is the first death in the immediate family for 30 years. The funeral will take place from the home, 916 East Boulevard, at 4 o'clock, Friday afternoon. Interment will be made in Magnolia cemetery."
