E. J., will be held tomorrow at a funeral home in the 800 block of North Calvert street. Miss Offutt had been ill for a number of years and stayed at the home of her sister Mrs. Max von Knobloch, in Greystone Park, until two years ago, when she entered the Greystone Hospital, where she died. She was born in Montgomery county, the daughter of Mary Beall Offutt and John W. Scott Offutt, brother of Judge Offutt's father. In addition to Mrs. von Knobloch, she is survived by two nieces, Mrs. G. Frank Weatherly, of Baltimore, and Mrs. Mrs. George Warren Offutt of Washington. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery."

Mrs. Offutt was the daughter of the late Arnold and Elizabeth Thiemann Baker . She was married twice, first to William Scott Offutt, then to Dr. Baruch Offutt. Funeral services will be conducted at The Highlands at 3 p.m. tomorrow by the Rev. Henry B. Lee, pastor of Trinity Protestant Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

     Dr. Thomas Zadok Offutt was born on December 25, 1829 at Potomac, Montgomery County, MD, USAG.3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13 He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree at University of Michigan, MI, USA.14,15 He was Doctor in 1856.16 He was graduated in 1856 at University of Pennsylvania, PA, USA.17,18,19 He married Maria Elizabeth Walters Offutt, daughter of Lemuel Offutt and Maria Elizabeth Walters, on July 22, 1856.20,21,22,23,24,25 Dr. Thomas Zadok Offutt and Maria Elizabeth Walters Offutt appeared on the Federal Census of July 10, 1860 at 2nd District, Baltimore County, MD, USAG.26 Dr. Thomas Zadok Offutt was assigned to the 4th Texas Volunteer Infantry Regiment in June, 1862 as an Assistant Regimental Surgeon.27,28,29 He began military service between October 2, 1862 and April 18, 1863 at General Hospital, Camp Winder, Richmond, Henrico County, VA, USAG, as a Surgeon.30,31 He was a member of the military between April 15, 1863 and February, 1864, serving with at 4th Regiment, Texas Infantry, Confederate States of America; transferred from 4th Texas Volunteer Inf.      Rachel Scott Offutt was born in 1832.1 As of January 27, 1846, Rachel Scott Offutt was also known as Rachel J. Offutt.2 She married Joshua Warfield Offutt, son of Andrew Offutt and Elizabeth Warfield, on January 27, 1846 at Montgomery County, MD, USAG.3,2 Rachel Scott Offutt died before 1855.4

Funeral services will be conducted at The Highlands at 3 p.m. tomorrow by the Rev. Henry B. Lee, pastor of Trinity Protestant Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

For the last ten days she had been suffering from pneumonia. She had made her home with Judge Offutt for the last thirty years, and he is the lone survivor. Mrs. Offutt was the daughter of the late Arnold and Elizabeth Thiemann Baker . She was married twice, first to William Scott Offutt, then to Dr. Baruch Offutt. Funeral services will be conducted at The Highlands at 3 p.m. tomorrow by the Rev. Henry B. Lee, pastor of Trinity Protestant Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
