Generals Report that was from Scott Cty, KY, age 22 that was a member of the 6 MO INf., Co. G, and enlisted 23 Jan 1862.      Joel J. Offutt was born circa 1818 at KY, USA.2,3 He was named in the will of Sabret Offutt on March 10, 1842 at Scott County, KY, USA.4,5 Joel J. Offutt appeared on the Federal Census of September 26, 1850 at Oden Township, Chicot County, AR, USA.3 He married Sarah Nichols on April 9, 1853 at Chicot County, AR, USA.6 Joel J. Offutt was named as a child and heir in the probate of the estate of Sabret Offutt on October 6, 1853 at Chicot County, AR, USA, he was also the executor.7 Joel J. Offutt was found on October 6, 1853 in the October Term at Chicot County, AR, USA, court records, seeking permission to sell an estate.8 He Joel J. Offutt received $7,064.82 plus $4,037.04 to put in trust for John R. Offut from the sale of the Arkansas property of Sabret Offutt on October 29, 1858 at Chicot County, AR, USA.9 Joel J.      John R. Offutt was born.1 He was named in the will of Sabret Offutt on March 10, 1842 at Scott County, KY, USA.2,3 John R. Offutt appeared on the Federal Census of 1850 at Scott County, KY, USA; not listed with family.4 He was named as a child and heir in the probate of the estate of Sabret Offutt on October 6, 1853 at Chicot County, AR, USA, and whose share of the estate was to be held in trust by Joel J. Offutt.5
