Offutt was a graduate of Louisville Male High School. He studied agriculture at Purdue University and later received a bachelor-of-science degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
    He was a second lieutenant in World War I
    Offutt was a member of the American Pharmaceutical Society, Pendennis Club, and Highland Presbyterian Church. He also held membership in the Reforma Athletic Club and American Club in Mexico City.
    Private Funeral Tomorrow Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Leota Offutt; a son, Winfield F. Offutt. New York; his mother, Mrs. Hyman G. Offutt; a sister, Mrs. Nancy G. Simmons, Greenwich, Conn. and a brother: Claggett Offutt, Los Angeles.
    A private funeral will be held tomorrow at Lee Cralle's, 1330 S. Third. Burial will be in Cave Hill Cemetery.
