    Following an illness of ten days of infirmities. Mrs. Margaret Offutt Mundy, 80 years old, widow of Col. Marc Mundy, a prominent attorney, died at 5: 45 o'clock yesterday morning at her home, in the Weissenger-Gaulbert apartment, Third street and Broadway. She was born in Scott county, near Georgetown, and was a daughter of the late Col. Ezra N. Offutt, a planter and stock raiser. She had been a resident of Louisville more than fifty years. Her husband was commander or the Twenty-Third·Kentucky Volunteer Regiment in the Union army and was Provost Marshal of Louisville during the Civil War. His death occurred in 1901. She is survived by a son, St. Marc Mundy. and two sisters, Mrs. W. F. Mundy, and Mrs. E. O. Witherspoon. She was a member of the Warren Memorial Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be conducted a 4 o'clock this afternoon. Burial will be in Cave Hill cemetery."

Another provision was that after Mattie's death the estate was to be divided amongst Zachariah's brothers and sisters in equal shares. Zachariah also nominated Mattie A. "Mary Ford Offutt Halley, 69. widow of Samuel Hampton Halley Jr., died at her residence at 3:02 p.m. Tuesday. A Lexington native, she was the daughter of the late Dr. William N. and Jane Scott Offutt. She was educated at Hollins College and the University of Kentucky. She was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, the Lexington Jr. League and Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Survivors include three daughters, Jane Halley Ireland, Mary Offutt Halley, Katharine Helm Halley; a son, Samuel Hampton Halley III; a sister, Elizabeth Offutt James, all of Lexington; 6 grandchildren, John W. Ireland Ill, Jane Ford Ireland, Sarah Scott Ireland, Samuel Hampton Halley IV, Benjamin Helm Halley, Elizabeth Simpson Halley and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 11:30 a.m. today at the W.R. Milward Mortuary-Broadway by Rev. Ronald Byars. Burial Lexington Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Dr. William N. Offutt IV, Philip G. Halley, Robert Wiseman, Darryl R. Callahan, W. Scott Long and Clay M. Brock. Memorials to the Arthritis Foundation, Kentucky Chapter, P.O. Box 332, 40584 or the McDowell Cancer Foundation, 915 S.
