    Louisville - Rudolph Ray "Rudy" Offutt, 94, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 at his private caregiver's home in Coxs Creek, KY.

    Over the years, Rudolph had made many friends and many great memories in both Louisville and St. Petersburg, FL. He spent 40 years as a Draftsman for Louisville Transit Co. then TARC. He was a member of American Legion, Zachary Taylor Post 180, Manual Alumni Class of 42, a Kentucky Colonel and World War II Veteran - 5th Marine Division - Iwo Jima Battle - Pacific Theater. He loved golf, softball, shuffleboard, bowling, the Horses and was a UK fan.

    Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, ....; niece, .....; great-nephew, .......; sister-in-law, .......; brother-in-law, ....... and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jane Beierle Offutt; his parents, Joseph and Elsie Offutt; a brother, Gerald Offutt; and sister, Josephine Offutt.

    The Offutt family would like to extend their gratitude to Mildred Cook, his private caregiver and also to John and Pauletta Kutter for all of their loving visits to Dad.

Keach III of Worcester; three daughters, Sharon Sprecher of Colorado, Linda Schimoler of Stratham, N.H., and Peggie Lee Baker of Duxbury; her brother, William Burland of North Haven, Conn.; a sister, Loretta Tallon of Belmont; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several niece and nephews. A funeral Mass was said Dec. 27 in Peabody."

I chose not to attach it becuase it's essentially useless as the dates are almost impossible to decipher. Ancestry has indexed the record as Coral Offett marrying Walter Theodore Gibson on January 10, 1925. It appears that the license was granted sometime in December of 1924.
