"MARIE OFFUTT DIES THURSDAY - Mrs. Alice Marie Offutt, 69-year-old lifelong resident of Rushville, died at 5 a.m. today at the Stewart Nursing Home after a long period of ill health. She had been in the nursing home for five years. She was born in Rushville on June 17, 1887, a daughter of Lewis M. and Madeline Frazee Clark. Her husband, Charles G. Offutt, died May 30, 1949. Mrs. Offutt was a member of the Main Street Christian Church. Survivors include a son, Eugene Offutt of Milwaukee, Wisc.; a sister , Mrs. Elsie Wills of Connersville, and three grandchildren, Charles, David and Susie Offutt. Dr. Frank Helme will conduct funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Wyatt Moore Memorial where friends may call after 4 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery."
