It is possible that Eva is not a daughter of Joseph and Jane (Offutt) Wimer but is instead a daughter of Melissa (Wimer) Powell and her husband George Powell (Based on obit of Melissa Powell where it states that she died at the home of her daughter Mrs Edward Bartley. Also the obituary of Mrs. Lucina Palmer states that she was survived by three sisters; Mrs. Malissa Powell, Miss Margaret Wimer and Mrs. Laura A. Black and preceeded in death by two sisters and a brother

Luara Ann Wimer Black's obit only mentions one surviving sister, Miss Margaret Wimer on September 16, 2015.²
