He left one son. In reading the biography I saw no mention of a son. It appeared that Thomas and his first wife had three daughters, of whom two survived. The only son mentioned was the son of James D. McCune and Martha (nee Offutt) McCune name James David McCune. I have removed the son Martin. The biography also mentioned that the second marriage took place some time after September 23, 1879 when Mr. Martin's first wife died.

Mr. Offutt was born July 14, 1837, in Lawrence county, Pa, where he lived until his parents moved to Ohio, when he was quite young, at which place they lived until after the war, when they moved to Roane county, this state, then he moved to the West Fork where he resided until the end came. He reared a family of five boys, namely: C. L., C. E., Emory, George and Harvey, who are all residents of this county and splendid citizens. His wife preceeded , 1910, of a disease incident to old age. Mr. Offutt was born July 14, 1837, in Lawrence county, Pa, where he lived until his parents moved to Ohio, when he was quite young, at which place they lived until after the war, when they moved to Roane county, thi, 1910, of a disease incident to old age.
