The services were in charge of G. W. Yarrall, Reader at First Church of Christ, Scientist. Mr. Offutt was 69 years of age, and had been in ill health for several weeks. The body arrived here this morning and was taken to the Eugene Gerard Mortuary to await the funeral hour. Mr. Offutt is, survived by his widow, Mrs. Effie Lowe Offutt, and two daughters Mrs. T. D. Sympson and Miss Bessie Offutt, all of Louisville, who accompanied the body here. T. D. Sympson, of Louisville, and Miss Susie Stevens, of this city, also accompanied the body here. Mr. Offutt was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Stevens and also a brother-in-law of W. M. Hagan, of this city. He was engaged in the grocery business at Louisville. He was formerly a member of the Bowling Green police force and moved to Louisville several years ago.

"VIDOR -- Funeral services for Benjamin Franklin Offutt, 88, a resident of the Vidor Nursing center, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Ryan Chapel church at Diboll, Texas. Mr. Offutt died Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the nursing home following an illness of two years.
Officiating will be the Rev. J. D. Helpenstell, a Congregational Methodist minister from Mount Enterprise, Texas. Burial will be in the Ryan Chapel cemetery at Diboll under direction of Vidor Memorial Funeral home.
