Services will be held at 3 p.m. today in the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Dean Kilmer officiating. Burial will follow in Tuggle Springs Cemetery near Manchester. Mr. Offutt was born Nov. 16, 1952 in Dallas, a son of Edward and Louise Patch Offutt. He attended public schools in Blossom and Detroit, and was a retired welder. He married Wanda Lamascus in 1969 in Paris. She preceded him in death on Jan. 4, 1994. He was a member of the Church of Christ and had been an active member of the National Rifle Association. He is survived by two sons, Delbert Offutt of Paris and Maxwell Offutt of Ozark, AR; a daughter, Kathy McCool of Clardy; three grandchildren, Nicolas McCool and Matthew McCool, both of Clardy, and Crystal Jene Offutt of Paris; a brother, William Offutt of Paris; seven aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Renee Offutt in 1971, and a brother, Roy Lynn Offutt in 1953. Mrs. Elizabeth Offutt Mitchell, age 48, passed away at 9 p.m. Sunday, at Medical Center Hospital, Albany. N.Y., after a short illness. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Judge Samuel J. Offutt and Nell Reed Offutt. She is survived by her husband, Richard, two daughters, Elizabeth Ann and Margaret Offutt Mitchell of Albany, N.Y.; her mother, Mrs. Nell Offutt, of Greenfield; one sister, Mrs. Howard Romack, Cambridge, N.Y.; one aunt, Miss Clara Offutt, Indianapolis; three nephews, Howard, Charles and John Romack; one cousin, Mrs. Laura A. Heritier, Columbia City. Mrs. Mitchell was a member of Pauling Avenue Methodist Church, Troy, N.Y.; Miriam Chapter, O.E.S., and Tri Kappa. She graduated from Greenfield High School in1935. DePauw University in 1939, and did graduate work at Butler University. At DePauw, she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. Until recently she was associated with the Emma Willard School, Troy, N.Y. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, at Pasco Memorial Mortuary, with Rev. Lyle Rasmussen officiating. Interment will be in Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 p.m. Wednesday."
