Mr. Offutt was born in Baltimore and raised on Morley Street. He was a 1948 graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School and enlisted in the Army in 1951. A member of an artillery unit, Mr. Offutt saw combat in Korea. He was awarded two Bronze Stars and attained the rank of corporal. He returned to Baltimore and went to work in 1953 for Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Linthicum, where he installed electrical circuitry. He retired in 1988. He was an avid flower gardener and collector of antique clocks. He also liked watching wrestling matches. Mr. Offutt was a parishioner of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Randallstown, where his funeral Mass was offered Tuesday. He is survived by a brother, William M. Offutt of Pittsville; three sisters, Louise M. Reider and Mildred D. Rossbach, both of Randallstown, and Ruth T. Walker of Baltimore; several nieces and nephews."

Offutt, a retired electrical worker and decorated Korean War veteran, died of renal cell cancer June 15 at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center & Hospital. The longtime Randallstown resident was 75. Mr. Offutt was born in Baltimore and raised on Morley Street. He was a 1948 graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School and enlisted in the Army in 1951. A member of an artillery unit, Mr. Offutt saw combat in Korea. He was awarded two Bronze Stars and attained the rank of corporal. He returned to Baltimore and went to work in 1953 for Westinghouse Electric Corp. in Linthicum, where he installed electrical circuitry. He retired in 1988. He was an avid flower gardener and collector of antique clocks. He also liked watching wrestling matches. Mr. Offutt was a parishioner of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Randallstown, where his funeral Mass was offered Tuesday. He is survived by a brother, William M. Offutt of Pittsville; three sisters, Louise M. Reider and Mildred D. Rossbach, both of Randallstown, and Ruth T. Walker of Baltimore; several nieces and nephews."
