He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church of Libertown was a student at Walkersville High School with the class of 1975. He was a member of the Walkersville High School soccer team, member of the Future Farmers of America and maintained an active interest in quarter horses. Surviving besides his parents are three brothers and three sisters, Eugene J. Offutt Jr., Walkersville. Douglas A. Offutt at home, Robert L Offutt, Walkersville, Mrs. Dorothy A. Holland, Crisfield. Mrs. Peggy L. Sirk, Gaithersburg, Miss Jane M. Offutt, at home, paternal grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. John B. Offutt, Frederick, and two nieces and two nephews. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Woodsboro, Monday. The family formerly resided in Westminster."
