I was unable to verify this in the Civil War Library at Ft. Ward, Alexandria. There was a similar event but a different building and his name was not among those listed as involved. Lucille said "Mary" has the family bible with info & picture of him in uniform. Age 92 at death. He was church sexton, farmer.
