Kincaid, his borther-in-law, was named United States Counsel at Southampton, Mr. Offutt accepted the appointment of Deputy Counsel. Upon his return about two years ago he took a position with the Courier-Journal and Times which he held till his death.... The remains will be taken to Shelbyville Saturday for internment in the Offutt family burial ground in Grove Hill Cemetery."
