In the name of God, Amen, I Sabret Offurt do publish and make known this to be my last will and testament, Viz. I bequeath to my beloved wife Nancy Offutt The Two Hundred Acres of land on which the dwelling house is on except the six Acres Sold to Mr. Neal. To her and her children forever with The right of selling the same if she should consider it to The advantage of her and the children also all the negroes an the place Stock farming utensils House Hold ?C


2 It is my wish that my beloved wife will cause to be sold the Land deeded to her by her father except the part front of the house including the warting place to the creek and when sold pay my just debts in Kentucky and the balance to be equally Divided between my children except my son John who will be hereafter provided for.

I bequeath to my son Geo. W. Offutt One Eight subject to a deduction of six hundred dollars advanced him.
I bequeath to my son Joil J. Offutt two Eights.
I bequeath to my Son Alfred W. Offutt One Eight subject to my account advances made him.
I bequeath to my Daughter Amanda P. Downing One Eight subject to a deduction of my account advanced her.
I bequeath to my daugher Emeline One Eight.
I bequeath to my Son Benjamin F. Offutt One Eight.
I bequeath to my son Darwin Offutt One Eight
Emelines Benjamins Darwins part to put at interest until they marry of become of age or as my Executors who will be hereafter named Shall Judge best.
One Eight left to my son Joel the intention known to him who will carry its to affect my wishes to carry in to affect my will.

I appoint my beloved Wife Executrix and Executors Geo. Wm. Offutt, Joel J. Offutt and Alfred W. Offutt Executors of my Estate in Kentucky. It is my will that the 1 plantation in Arkansas to be carried on by my son Joel J. Offutt until the payment due on it can be made but if my Executors should think best to make a Sale sooner they will do so when most advisable for the Interest of my children when sold and my just debts paid.

I bequeath to my son Joel J. Offutt One fifth of the estate agreeable to agreement entered into with him consisting of land negroes stock farming interest etc.--- and the balance I bequeath to my children except Joel J. Offutt.
I bequeath to my son Joel J. Offutt & John R. Offutt part to be held for his benefit. In order to carry into affect my will respecting my Arkansas Estate, I appoint George W. Offutt, Joel J. Offutt and my friend Joel Johnson my Executors.
Written and signed by me this 10th day of March 1842.

Sabret Offutt

My son Joel J. Offutt is to be allowed for his services attending the plantation and his accounts for money that he may be advanced.

At a court began and held for Scott County at the Court house thereof in Georgetown, Monday the 21st day of December, 1846.

The foregoing last will and Testament of Sabret Offutt decd with the Codicil thereto was this day produced in court and proved to be the handwriting of Sabet Offutt decd bu the oaths of John S. Morrison, Farnklin Payne and Benjamin W. Kiswell (?), and is ordered to be Recorded and is duly recorded in my Office.
