According to N.O.C. Vol 3 page 238; A list of children from an old DAR application is: James, Frances, Obedience, Henrietta, Benjamin, Viola, Ezekiel, and Nathaniel. This Jesse was a Captain of 7th Company, Columbia County, GA Militia in Jan 1791. According to Roster of Revolutionary Soldiers in Georgia, Vol. III, p. 132; This Jesse Offutt was b, 1760 in GA, d 1830 in Richmond County, GA. He served as a private in GA Militia under Col. Few and had as a child the Frances that married John Goldwire. Also DAR Vol. 106, p. 148.
