George H. Hayden Sr.
There continues to be a descrepancy on his birth dates. In the 1880 census he's 14 which would mean he was born in 1866; however, actual date has him born in 1869. This same descrepancy appears in the marriage records. In the 1880 census he's in school. It's possible that he is 12 and not 14. Again in the 1910 census, George is 44 and should be born in 1866. He's living at 215 Pitt Street with Sena (wife age 36) and his 5 children. Death record has him
as age 84 but my records have him as 80. George was buried from the Wheatley Funeral Home.
Per family members, George was known as the "mayor of Alexander" as he always had a flower in his lapel.
