He worked for his father on the farm until he was about 23, then one of those family tiffs happened and he worked for some small company here in Frederick. He then worked for the Frederick Trading Company for about 18 years driving a delivery truck and then went to the National Geographic Society for about 8 years and was working there when he died. He was in the Army Reserve, the 558th Signal Corp. He loved to garden, work on cars, and drink beer. He was very handy and could do just about anything with his hands. He was a very good mechanic of small engines. He graduated from Frederick High School, class of 1961.
