Registered, exhibited, proved and recorded in the office of the Register of Wills for the District of Columbia, "for administration of all goods, chattels, and credits, and the deceased is hereby granted and committed unto Mary Offutt, the executrix by the said will appointed."

of Georgetown, District of Columbia."

Mary Offutt, executrix.

All real estate except pieces lying in Montgomery County, Md., to wife for and during her natural life or during her widowhood. Upon her death or remarriage, to son Olin Leigh Offutt and his heirs.

Real estate situated in Montgomery Co. (Liber EBP 8, fol. 274) to be sold by executrix, proceeds arising therefrom to apply to payment of deferred payments on real estate owed by him and situated on the corner of Bridge and High Sts., Georgetown, D.C., purchased from Anthony Gaegler.

His interest in the firm William A. Offutt & Brother to wife during her natural life or widowhood. After her death or remarriage, to said son. Further directs that said interest shell, if his brother agrees, not be withdrawn from said firm, but the business continue as a firm for the space of three years, his brother George Warren Offutt having entire charge of the business management of the said firm, the employing and discharging of clerks, contracting and settling of firm debts, and drawing of all notes, checks, etc., in connection with the said business.

And I further direct that the cents (sic) arising from the centing of the storehouse on the southeast corner of Bridge and High Sts., Georgetown, and the profits arising from the share owned by me in said firm of William A. Offutt and Brother, after setting aside a sufficient amount of proceeds to properly maintain my wife and child, during my wife's natural life or widowhood, shall be applied to the payment of the notes given for the deferred payments upon the said storehouse, on the corner of Bridge and High Sts., until the same shall be fully paid and satisfied, provided that the proceeds arising from the sale of the land in Montgomery Co. hereinbefore provided for be not sufficient to satisfy said notes for deferred payments, and should the proceeds arising from said sale and the surplus of said profits after proper maintenance of my wife and child as aforesaid not suffice to pay said notes for deferred payments upon said storehouse, I authorize my said executrix to sell the house known as No.431/2 Gay Street,

between Grout and Mound Streets, Georgetown, District of Columbia, and convoy the same to the purchaser thereof, and the proceeds thereof to apply to payment of said notes for deferred payments, but said house No.431/2 is not to be sold unless upon the happening of the contingencies above set forth.

And I further direct that the said storehouse shall be rented to the said firm of William A. Offutt and Brother during the continuance of the firm, and for the monthly rent of Sixty ($60) Dollars, and I direct that during the continuance of said partnership, there shall be paid to my said brother, George Warren Offutt, out of the profits of said business, over and above his share thereof, the monthly sum of Thirty ($30) Dollars as some remuneration for his management of the firm for the interest of the firm, and I further direct that upon the death of my said wife, or upon her marrying again, all my estate be held by my brother, George Warren Offutt, in trust for my son, Olin Leigh Offutt, until he shall have attained the age of Twenty-one years, when the same shall be turned over to him.
